Corn pancakes

Pancakes can be served with any salty or sweet filling: minced meat, caramelized onions, suluguni or feta cheese with herbs, bananas with chocolate, maple or citrus syrup, strawberry jam.


  • finely ground corn flour - 200 g
  • salt - 1 pinch
  • sugar - 1 tbsp. l.
  • chicken egg - 2 pcs.
  • milk 2.5% - 200 ml
  • kefir 1% - 200 ml
  • baking powder - 0.5 tsp.
  • vegetable oil - 2 tbsp. l.


1. To begin with, it is necessary to sift corn flour, it is better twice, for baking of pancakes we use only groats of the smallest grinding. It is very important that the flour is fresh.

2. Add a pinch of salt, sugar, yogurt, mix and get a dough similar to "wet crumbs".

3. Separately mix eggs with milk with a whisk and combine with dough.

4. It is necessary to add baking powder and vegetable oil to the dough, mix everything thoroughly and leave to rest for 10-15 minutes. The consistency should be liquid and homogeneous.

5. It is most convenient to bake pancakes in a preheated pan. Grease the pan with a cooking brush using vegetable oil.

6. It is very tasty to grease hot pancakes with a small amount of butter.
